Five Princess

Teamed up with four other beautiful and brilliant girls, all of whom are graduates of music academy schools, Sun Lili, herself a music academy graduate, founded the Five Princess Band in 2004.Unlike other girls bands which have been quick to colone the same style, an enormously success for a band of this nature, Five Princess is quietly insistent on developing its own style: combining singing with melody to create a new fashion of traditional Chinese music. The reason, according to Sun Lili, the singer of the band and one of the top ten winner singers in the Pepsi Pop Music contest, is that it greatly adds to the appeals of the music if the traditional melody is accompanied by a song.

The authentic traditional Chinese music only comes out of the traditional Chinese musical instruments, the Five Princess band plays traditional Chinese musical instruments. In fact, this is exactly how the band was named--each of the five girls, representing five Chinese princesses, performs one of the five most representative traditional Chinese musical instruments, namely二胡、扬琴、古筝、琵琶、竹笛. The girls want to be the most beautifulChinese princesses performing the best sounding Chinese musical instruments!
Now, the Five Princess band has set up its own website www.wygg.com.cn. They hope to exchange ideas with the people who listen to their music through the website or otherwise.
